Jadwiga Cutrone, MS.Ed., NCSP

Jadwiga Cutrone is a New York State Certified School Psychologist with over thirteen years of experience working with children, adolescents and families. She has a strong background in individual and group counseling, cognitive-behavior therapy, and psychological assessment. Mrs. Cutrone provides an individualized approach to therapy that is strength-based and promotes empowerment, insight, and healing. While her approach to therapy is grounded in psychodynamic understanding of individuals, she utilizes an eclectic approach that is designed to address the needs of the client. In addition, Mrs. Cutrone believes that among the most important therapeutic factors is the relationship between the therapist and client and strives to build a connection based on trust and mutual respect for the foundation for healing.

Mrs. Cutrone is completing her doctoral degree at Adelphi University, where she is also an Adjunct Lecturer in the Master’s in School Psychology Program. She  is currently completing research on identity formation in immigrant youth with an unauthorized legal status. In her spare time, Mrs. Cutrone enjoys being outdoors, practicing meditation and yoga, listening to music, writing, as well as cooking and spending time with family and friends.
