Janet Whyte, LMSW
Licensed Master's Social Worker Massapequa Park and Telehealth Janet Whyte earned her Master’s in Social Work at Hunter College and her Bachelor’s in Social Work at Adelphi University. Ms. Whyte has experience working in outpatient community-based mental health programs and in schools. She uses a strengths-based perspective that incorporates both the person and their environment, and empowers clients to work towards their goals. Ms. Whyte recognizes the importance of human relationships and strives to create a strong therapeutic alliance with each client. She supports clients who are experiencing life transitions, mental health concerns, and social challenges. She also has experience with providing vocational counseling to adults and adolescents and helping younger children to develop social skills. Ms. Whyte integrates Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Humanistic Therapies into her work with children, teens, and adults. In her free time, Ms. Whyte enjoys traveling, going to the beach, and spending quality time with friends and family.
