Jayoti Chabra, LMSW
Social Worker Languages: English/Hindi/Panjabi Ms. Chabra earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and her Master's degree in Social Work at the University of Stonybrook. She has a primary focus in couples work and is trained in the Gottman Couples Therapy Method. Ms. Chabra also works with adults, teenagers, and children in individual therapy, and especially enjoys women-focused therapy. She employs a strength-based perspective that respects each person' s unique situation and focuses on addressing anxiety, depression and life transitions through self-exploration, respect for independent choices, and building of self-worth and self-esteem. Her approach includes evidence-based practice including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and multi-dimensional family therapy. She also utilizes play-based therapy for young children. In her spare time Ms. Chabra enjoys reading, walking outdoors and spending time with friends and family.
