Christina DeVivo, LMSW
Licensed Masters Social Worker Massapequa Park and Telehealth Ms. DeVivo earned her Master's in Social Work from Adelphi University and her Bachelor's in Health Studies from Utica University. She has experience in community mental health where she provided clinical outpatient services through individual support and therapeutic groups for adults with serious mental illness (SMI) and substance use disorders. Christina utilizes a strength-based perspective employing tenets of cognitive-behavioral therapy that focuses on mindfulness and helps her clients create personalized coping skills while increasing self-awareness. Christina enjoys working with adolescents, teens, and adults who experience depression, anxiety, substance use, and difficulty navigating life transitions. Christina supports her clients in improving executive functioning skills, building insight, and increasing motivation. She believes that therapy works best when there is a strong therapeutic rapport between therapist and client that is essential to embracing each client's authentic self and personal goals. In her spare time, Christina enjoys going to the beach, hiking, reading, and spending time with friends.
