Licensed Clinical Social Worker Not currently accepting new clients Ms. Mencher is a highly experienced therapist with over 35 years of providing clinical services in a variety of mental health settings. She focuses on therapy for adults through the life span, and she provides down-to-earth, practical techniques and feedback for achieving goals, managing stress, and navigating difficult situations. Ms. Mencher works with relationship issues, couples therapy, life transitions, self-esteem, self-advocacy, and transition/loss. She also provides support and intervention for empty-nest and maintaining/improving relationships with adult children. As the former director of the Wantagh Parent Center for many years and with her long background of school social work, she is able to help parents when they have questions about understanding or managing their younger children's behavior as well. Her parent-training sessions focus on behavioral intervention and strengthening support and resources.
