Janet Whyte, LCSW, CCATP
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional
Massapequa Park and Telehealth
Ms. Whyte utilizes a strengths-based approach and strives to create a strong therapeutic alliance as the foundation to support individuals in achieving their goals. She has a passion for working with teens and adults who experience anxiety and enjoys providing tools to help people learn how to be more in control of their emotions and improve the quality of their stress levels, sleep, interpersonal relationships, and overall wellbeing.

As a therapist Ms. Whyte is committed to continued learning and growth and has advanced her training to become certified as a Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional. She assists clients experiencing Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, OCD, Social Anxiety, and Phobias, in addition to everyday anxiety and stress. Ms. Whyte also has advanced training in working with individuals and/or couples seeking to improve their relationships and wishing to develop greater relational self-awareness. If you are curious to learn more about yourself in order to benefit the relationships you have with others, she would be happy to accompany you on this journey towards more connection, communication with intention, empathy, and peace. In her  practice, Ms. Whyte integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic, and Humanistic Therapies.

Ms. Whyte is an advocate for making time for self-care, and some of her own favorite ways to do this include traveling, going to the beach, and spending quality time with family, friends, and pets. If you are experiencing mental health concerns or if you would like to find support in working through life transitions, social and relationship challenges, or anxiety and chronic stress, she will work together with you to find better ways of coping so that you can live a happy and authentic life.
