Julia Takats, LMSW
Social Worker Massapequa Park and Telehealth Ms.Takats earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Adelphi University and her Bachelors in Psychology at St. Joseph’s College. Her interests include working with younger populations with depression, anxiety, trauma, and behavioral issues. She understands and values the importance of meeting a client where they are at and providing a safe and supportive therapeutic environment. Throughout her sessions, Ms. Takats hopes to build a strong relationship with her clients and guide them towards meeting their goals. Through the combination of cognitive behavioral techniques, play therapy, art therapy, interactive problem solving and parent support, she is able to adjust her therapeutic approach for each client based on their interests and needs. In addition to working at Wavelengths Psychology, she also is working for the Foster Care System and in her free time is a crisis text line therapist.
