Sharon Grand, Ph.D., BCN
Licensed Psychologist
President, Founder
Dr. Grand opened her private practice in 2006 after over 10 years of work in mental health services in hospitals, agencies, schools, and outpatient settings.  She was inspired to create a practice where clients would feel welcomed and respected in the process of healing, and where clinicians would be encouraged to grow and flourish professionally.  She has been fortunate to work with great colleagues and wonderful, responsive communities.  The practice has continued to grow since it's opening, and currently she is thrilled to oversee the expansion into Garden City.

Dr. Grand is experienced with both insight-oriented (psychodynamic) and cognitive behavioral therapy.  She is especially interested in working with women's issues throughout the lifespan, relationship issues, ADHD,  parenting, and executive function disorders.  In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Grand supervises licensed therapists, provides training to undergraduate and post-graduate level interns, has been invited to present on her areas of expertise at local schools, agencies, and professional conferences, and serves as an expert witness for the Social Security Disability Office of Hearings and Appeals.  Dr. Grand completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation at Mount Sinai Hospital and advanced training in Neurofeedback through BCIA.  She strives for a warm, direct, and honest approach and is a strong believer in the therapeutic relationship and the creation of a safe space in therapy to promote healing and progress.  In her free time, Dr. Grand enjoys reading, hiking, attempting to bake, and spending time with her friends and family.   She has also authored two books on ADHD and Executive Functioning.
